WHAT ARE ENROBED TILES: Enrobed tiles are surrounded on all edges by a contrasting color from the front and the back of the tiles (sometimes referred to as a "frame"). These tiles are replicas of vintage enrobed tiles which are highly valuable and collectible sets. 

We are excited to be releasing the next edition of our Replica Black Enrobed Mahjong Tiles. These tiles are standard size for National Mah Jongg League play. The front and back of the tiles are a creamy off-white color with a black frame. They are made of acrylic. 

HOW THE TILES ARE MADE: The process to create enrobed tiles is very time consuming. 

1. First, the black outer frame of the enrobed border is made.
2. The creamy off-white acrylic is poured into the border.
3. Next, the tiles are polished together for ten days. 
4. Finally, each tile is polished one by one by hand to create the blank canvas for our designs! 
NOTE: Only 10% of the tiles made move forward to be used for our Replica Enrobed Tiles!

WHAT IS NEW: The new run of our Replica Black Enrobed tiles will be engraved and have elegant new designs for several of the tiles.
